Virtual Registration FAQ

The annual Idaho Conference on Refugees will continue in-person, with strict Covid-19 protocols to keep our participants and community as safe as possible (check out our Covid-19 policies here).

We have decided to add a virtual option this year for attendees who do not feel comfortable attending in person, or for those who work in professions that are especially strained right now by the pandemic, such as healthcare and education.

The virtual option will give participants access to all Main Stage plenaries and speakers, as well as a select number of workshops.
How do I register for the virtual-only option?
You can register on our main registration site. Just choose the "Virtual-only Registration" option. Register here.
What is the cost of the virtual-only option?
The virtual-only option is $90.
How do I switch my registration from in-person to virtual?
If you would like to switch your in-person registration to virtual, you can do so with this form.

If you paid $125 for in-person, we will refund the registration cost difference the week of the conference.
What parts of the conference can I attend virtually? Can I attend any in-person events also?
Virtual-only attendees can watch all main stage plenaries and speakers, as well as a select number of workshops on the Zoom platform.  Virtual-only registrations do not include access to any in-person sessions.

We are working quickly with workshop presenters to determine which workshops can be made hybrid or added as a virtual-only option. These will be updated on the workshop page.
How do I access the virtual workshops and plenaries?
All sessions will be held virtually on Zoom. All main stage events will be on the Main Stage Zoom Room, and select workshops will be in the Zoom Room #1.

How you'll access the workshops and plenaries:
  1. Register for the virtual-only or in-person conference on our regular registration page.
  2. In your receipt, you'll find a section on the virtual conference as well as a link to an internal page where you will register for the two Zoom Rooms: Main Stage Zoom Room and Zoom Room #1.
  3. Register for those Zoom rooms and you'll receive an email from Zoom with unique links to access the rooms over the two days.
  4. On the day of the conference, just log into the Zoom Rooms that has the workshops or plenaries you want to attend.

Please note only people who have registered for the conference will be able to access the Zoom Rooms.
Can I get CEUs for virtual attendance?
CEUs are dependent on which workshops and sessions you attend (both in-person and virtually!). Please visit the CEU page for more details.
Can I attend in-person and virtually?
If you registered for the full in-person registration, you will be able to attend both in-person and virtually.
If you registered for the virtual-only conference, you are only eligible to attend the virtual events.
Help! I can't find my Zoom Room links!
Search your inbox (including spam/junk folder) for emails from Zoom, as well as from Qgiv. If you are unable to locate them, send an email marked "URGENT - NEED ZOOM LINKS" to iorinfo@idahorefugees.org and we'll help track them down.
