Logistics

The conference will be held in the Boise State University Student Union Building on February 22 & 23, 2023
Student Union Building:
1700 West University Drive, Jordan Ballroom, second floor

NAME TAGS
We are printing sticky name tags rather than traditional hanging ones to reduce plastic waste. They can be stuck to your clothes or the folder of materials you will be given upon check-in. We encourage you to also wear your organization’s name tag if you have one! This will help us more easily recognize where everyone is coming from and aid in making those connections.

BSU, Higher Ed Students/Workshop-only participants will not be getting sticky name tags or folders with materials and do not need to check-in at registration, but you are welcome to stop by the registration table throughout the day and grab any extra swag or a conference brochure.

PARKING
Parking details were emailed to all participants who indicated that they will be driving to the conference. Parking will be in dispersed locations around campus.  Please print and display your parking pass on your vehicle's dashboard.

Those who marked that they will be biking or riding public transportation did not receive a parking email. We appreciate you choosing this method!

If you are parking in the Brady Garage, please plan ahead for a brisk 15-minute walk to the Student Union Building.

If you have a blue Disability Parking Placard in your vehicle, you are able to park in any of the handicap spaces near the Student Union Building or in the adjacent Lincoln Garage if those are full. You will be required to pay, and IOR will reimburse you for this expense.

BSU Students/Workshops Only/AND BSU Faculty and Staff: You will not be receiving dash permits, as it is assumed you already have parking on campus.

MEALS
A full breakfast and lunch will be served both days with a variety of vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free options. Breakfast will begin at 7:30am and wrap up at 8:30am both Wednesday and Thursday.  Lunch will start at noon.

COVID CONSCIOUSNESS
We are reserving two tables in our main programing room, Jordan Ballroom, in the front, close and to the right of the stage. These tables will be marked. These are reserved for those who need to remain physically distant and require a mask when sitting at them. Masks, which will be available at registration check-in, are not required but always welcomed. Workshop rooms should have plenty of capacity to accommodate physical space. We also want to offer for COVID-conscious folks to feel free to go through our lunch lines first, between 11:45am and noon, before the lines open to the bulk of participants. We hope this helps everyone feel safe and welcome. As always, please stay home if you’re sick or think you may have been exposed to illness; we are happy to issue refunds in these cases!
AIRPORT
The closest airport is the Boise Airport (BOI).  It is a 10-15 minute drive to Boise State University and of the Marriott Residence Inn Downtown Boise.  The Residence Inn has a free airport shuttle for guests.
