Local churches rally support for Ukraine

Slavic churches across the Treasure Valley and Pacific Northwest are coming together to collect resources for Ukrainian refugees. Good Word Mission member Tina Polishchuk shared this update: 

The reaction from Idahoans for assisting refugees has been incredible. Folks are rallying together in supporting those that are displaced. 

There is currently a humanitarian aid drive in Meridian. This has grown exponentially, and is quickly expanding across the valley. 

Here's what we need for the current effort, as of March 12:

• We are looking for businesses that would be open to being a drop off location for the drive. 
• We are looking for volunteers to help collect items from various locations, sort items, and package them
• We are looking for medical supplies. St. Luke's has donated $6,000 in medical supplies. But we need much more. We need wipes, and bathing cloths (lots of them). Folks are fleeing and go days without showering before they are able to get access to running water. If there are hospitals, clinics or organizations in the medical field that are willing and able to donate medical supplies, this is an urgent need.

The situation is quickly evolving and we will be adapting our efforts as we get more information from those directly affected.
