The Idaho Office for Refugees is pleased to welcome Terry Graves to the new role of Housing Specialist. Terry will work closely with our partners to identify housing opportunities for arriving families and individuals to afford them the best possible start in their new American life.
Terry came to Boise from Jefferson City, Missouri, in 1992. As the spouse of a veteran, she and her family lived in Panama, Kansas, Florida, Germany and Illinois.

She has spent her career in the nonprofit arena, focusing on housing and hunger. She has extensive experience working with refugee populations in her previous roles of:

  • Family Self-Sufficiency Coordinato at Boise City/Ada County Housing Authority
  • Resident Services Coordinator at NeighborWorks Boise, where she taught ESL classes and coordinated the first multicultural festival and National Night Out events
  • Yes You Can Program Coordinator at LEAP Housing, where she mentored refugees through the home-purchase process.

Terry spends her time with her large family and reading, sewing and crafting. As an indoor cat in an outdoorsy state, she will go camping if forced, but will bring along her books and the latest craft in process.

You can reach Terry at tgraves@idahorefugees.org.
